Change Management

Target group
To participate in this course, you should be a manager having been responsible for directing a change process for some time. You may feel the need to reflect on your approach, skills, influencing style and communication style. You are currently managing a change process or restructuring a process that has become bogged down.

Course content
In addition to brief theoretical introductions to various aspects of change management, this training focuses on the change process that you are currently leading and you will be working with your own personal practice as your case. 

The training takes three distinctive angles of approach:  
1. Your own experience of the process:

  • What is the effect of the change on you?
  • Your own motivation
  • Your role and position within the change process: what goes well and what has to be improved?
  • Insight into your personal role within the interplay of political forces.


2. Steering the change process:

  • Profile of the change manager
  • How to get your employees in action?
  • The flexible deployment of intervention methods
  • Communication during change processes


3. Company culture and organisational development:

  • Consolidating changes
  • Developing your outlook and strategy
  • Effectively influencing the interplay of political forces in change processes
  • Developing towards a proactive organisation
  • Providing an effective response to market developments


Results

You will be able to analyse the phase of change your organisation is currently in, your own role within this change process and the steps that need to be taken. You will become familiar with the various styles you can adopt in guiding the change process and you will know which style best fits a particular situation. You will learn how to inspire and mobilise your team members. You will develop your skills in recognising and effectively dealing with opposition within the team. You will develop a  good understanding of the ‘politics’ involved in change processes and will able to successfully deal  with these aspects as a manager.
