PRINCE2 Overview

Short description

This training allows you to quickly get acquainted with the possibilities and consequences of the PRINCE2 method within your organisation. 

Target group 
This overview training is meant for line managers, business management, ICT management, project managers and (future) steering committee members. You wish to be familiarised with the possibilities and consequences of using PRINCE2™ within their organisation. You will gain a better insight in the process oriented approach of the PRINCE2™ method and the added value this method during the execution of projects. To participate in this training, you should have basic knowledge of (project) management.

Course content
The training deals with the following topics:

• Correlation with the business case, programmes and projects
• Overview of PRINCE2™ processes, components and techniques
• Vision of PRINCE2™ on the role of line manager/customer and the users within the project
• Risks and critical success factors within projects

Competences strengthened during the training:

• Matching business and ICT purposes
• Organisation awareness

Results
You will be able to name and recognise the underlying principles and main processes of the PRINCE2™ method. You will also understand the roles, tasks and responsibilities of the participants within a PRINCE2™ project organisation. You will be able to make a first assessment of the use of PRINCE2™ method within your own organisation and indicate how the method may be implemented in your own organisation.
