Short description

This training will take you through a complete project life cycle according to the PRINCE2 method, using both theory and a case. A strong focus is on the correlation between the company goals and the project plan, on setting-up a project plan and on steering a project based on this project plan.

Target group 
The training is aimed at project managers and project leaders, responsible for ICT project management. To participate in this training, you should have demonstrable knowledge on the level of the PRINCE2™ Foundation course.

Course content
The training deals with the following topics:

  • The correlation between the business case, programmes and projects
  • The PRINCE2™ processes: setting up a project, directing a project, initiating a project, planning, controlling a stage, managing stage boundaries, managing product delivery and closing a project
  • The PRINCE2™ components: business case, organisation, planning, risks, controls, change management, configuration management, quality
  • The PRINCE2™ techniques: product based planning, change management approach, quality review


Results

You will be able to describe and apply project processes, components and relevant techniques in various aspects according to the PRINCE2™ methodology. You will be ready to arrange and manage complex projects. You will also be capable of controlling the objectives and products of a project and, by changing the business case, make these changes controllable and open for explicit discussion in order to guide the project through the changing environment.
