Short description

Target group 
As a participant in this course, you should regularly work in a team set-up. You wish to improve your collaborative skills and enhance your own contribution to decision processes.

Course content
The training course deals with the following topics:

  • Critical factors for successful teamwork
  • Types of teamwork
  • A model for effective teamwork
  • The Belbin Team Role appraisal
  • Team members’ personal behaviour in complex situations and the consequences for collaborating  within the team.
  • Decision processes in complex situations
  • Group processes and group development
  • Dealing with problem situations within a team, e.g. stalemates and conflicts
  • Putting what you have learnt in the course to practice

Results

You will be able to effectively collaborate in work groups and teams. You will gain insight into your personal strengths with regard to teamwork, and where there is room for improvement. You will be able to analyse, structure and influence the communication and complex decision processes that take place within your team. You will improve your understanding of various forms of team-based collaboration as well as your feeling for group dynamics.
