ILC

An ILC language training helps you break through the language barriers that can stand in the way of commercial success. We use information from the student's own organization and department to simulate the situation in practice as accurately as possible. Whatever your wishes or goals are, ILC International Language Centre helps you learn a new language. During an intake interview, we assess the starting level, discuss the desired final level and determine the best language training. Of course the field in which the student works and his/her position shall be taken into account.

Almost all of the language trainers employed by ILC International Language Centre are native speakers and have a wide experience in teaching language training. Many trainers are educated or experienced  in a specific area of expertise and teach specialized language training in the fields of engineering, law, finances or commerce. Apart from oral lessons, we use state-of-the-art audiovisual aids and software.

When the training is completed, the student receives a certificate stating the progress and the level achieved. For this, we use the European Common Framework of References for Languages of the Council of Europe.

ILC International Language Centre offers:

Individual intensive training

• Individual customized intensive programs, based on your specific needs and goals. Includes 10 hours of language training per day, in units of 5 days (for one or more weeks), using different teaching methods. The daily programme consists of:
  • private tutoring;
  • training your language skills with audio-multimedia facilities;
  • language lunch, during which only the language taught is spoken;
  • self-study.

Individual customized phased programs

• Individual customized phased programs based on your specific needs and goals, taking into account what is feasible in a part-time framework. The duration of the programme (a minimum of 2 hours a day) depends on your needs and goals. The program can be as follows:
  • private tutoring;
  • training your language skills with audio-multimedia facilities;
  • self-study.

In-company (group) language courses

• This training is fully adapted to the business field and the specific wishes of the client. We start with a personal intake interview with each potential student. The duration of the course, as well as the times of the lessons, shall be completely coordinated to the wishes and demands of the client.

Interpretation and translation services

• The ILC International Language Centre has a translation department with many experienced, highly educated (mostly at an academic level) interpreters and translators. The majority of these are sworn translators. Many translators have a specific area of expertise, such as commercial, technical, financial or legal translations. All interpreters and translators are native speakers and in principle they only translate into their native language, mostly with a second proof-reader. The translation department is a member of the ATA (Association of Translation Agencies).
